I am currently a Senior Communications Major specializing in Public Relations at Roger Williams University. Two of my largest strengths in the field of Public Relations are my writing ability and my organizational skills. I am a very approachable person that works well with others. Please refer to my resume page for my education, experience and background.
For the past two years I have been the Account Executive for the 2009 and 2010 Roger Williams University Bateman Teams. My experience in this competition has strengthened my communication, planning, organizing, issues management and media relations skills, among many others.
In the 2009 competition, a team of five Roger Williams’ students competed with 80 schools nationwide in creating a public relations campaign on higher education funding for the Consumer Bankers Association. We were fortunate to receive honorable mention (place within the top fifteen schools) in this competition. View final book here: What’s UR Direction?
For this year’s annual Bateman competition, our client was the 2010 United States Census. Our campaign took place during the month of February 2010 with great success. We have just completed our final book to be sent off in late March.
This past Fall I was selected to present my research paper on the factors affecting high school students’ college attendance rates at a global conference in Madrid, Spain. I was also featured in the semiannual Roger Williams University President’s Report in November 2010.
